Contractor Training Our Contractor course library contains four complete packages, the RSES Library and 29 individual NATE recognized accredited courses to include: several safety courses for HVACR technicians, nine Air Conditioning Fundamentals courses and twelve courses related to Electricity for the HVACR technician. Please check with your state for any contractor continuing education requirements.

Air Conditioning Fundamentals (20 NATE Recognized Hours) $225.00: A thorough introduction for service technicians to the concepts, laws and processes related to air conditioning systems.

Refrigerant Usage Certification – EPA Section 608 (10 Nate Recognized Hours) $45.00: A thorough introduction to concepts, laws and processes related to air conditioning systems.

Electricity for the HVACR Technician (16 NATE recognized hours) $225.00: Explains the numerous safety facts, guidelines and recommendations for the HVACR service technician.

Electrician CE: Journeyman Electrician Certificates of Competence Renewal Information:
In New Mexico, journeymen must complete at least sixteen (16) hours of continuing education every three-years. This requirement serves to ensure regular training on the National Electrical Code, a code that is updated every three years. Eight (8) hours of the required training is on code change instructions and eight (8) hours is on other industry-related instruction.

NEC 2008 Code Update: The NEC Code Update course is designed for those persons performing electrical work. This course examines the most significant changes affecting people throughout the electrical industry including residential, commercial and industrial electricians.

NFPA 70 E: Electricians CE. 4.0 hours. $45.00: this course covers standards for electrical safety in the workplace.

Engineer: The New Mexico State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors requires that professional engineers earn 30 PDH of continuing education and 4 PDH of ethics by December 31st, during each two year renewal period. Engineers with license numbers ending with an even number must renew their license by December 31st of even-numbered years. Engineers with license numbers ending with an odd number must renew their license by December 31st of odd-numbered years. The Board does not pre-approve providers or specific courses. ASHRAE – Advanced Energy Design for Small Retail Buildings: this is a thorough study of the design concepts, strategies and recommendations suited to the energy requirements of small retail buildings up to 20,000 square feet. 8.0 PDH, $250.00

Certified Environmental Specialist: This course will provide you with essential knowledge and understanding of EPA regulations relating to hazardous wastes such as Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA and CERCLA. 24.0 hours, $499.00

Residential Green Building Design and Construction: 4.0 hrs, $105.00: As Green Building is rapidly becoming mainstream due to the increasing environmental concerns, a desire to develop healthier structures and increasing regulation from permitting authorities—this course takes a close look at green building in relation to many aspects of design and construction including issues dealing with sites, landscaping, foundations, frames, exterior finishes, plumbing, appliances, insulation, ventilation, windows, finishes and flooring. The course wraps up with information on testing, certification and accreditation, including a look at the LEED program and the NAHB Green Home Certification Program.

Green Infrastructure – Streetscape – Best Practices course and quiz: 2.0 hours, $70.00: This is one of an eight course series on Green Infrastructure that provides a template for design and implementation of Green Building concepts applicable to cities and municipalities.

OSHA 10/30 Hour Outreach Training: OSHA recommends Outreach training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for all workers. The successful completion of this course will help to meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.  Upon completion of the 10-hour and 30-hour course, you will receive a completion card from the Department of Labor within 4-8 weeks. An Authorized OSHA Outreach trainer is available to answer any questions students may have while taking the online course. 

OSHA – 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training with Study Guide: 30 hours, $239.00: This course covers a minimum of 30 hours, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), which apply toward 30-hour General Industry course completion card. The course contains 24 sections.

OSHA – 30 hour Construction Outreach Training with Study Guide: 30 hours, $239.00: This course covers 30 hours of courses, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) that apply toward 30-hour Construction Industry course completion card; comprised of 24 sections.

OSHA – 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training with Study Guide: 10 hours, $125.00: This course covers a minimum of 10 hours of courses, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), which apply toward the 10-hour General Industry completion card.

OSHA – 10 Hour Construction Outreach Training with Study Guide: 10 hours, $125.00: This course covers 10 hours of courses required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), which apply toward 10-hour Construction Industry completion card. Comprising of 11 sections.

Industrial Skills: In fiscal year 2009, OSHA assessed the highest penalties related to fall protection, scaffolding, control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout), excavations, machines, general duty clause, management of hazardous materials, ladders, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts.
