NFPA 70 Course Overview: NFPA 70E covers standards for electrical safety in the workplace. Throughout this course you’ll review the relationship between OSHA and NFPA 70E. You’ll also review general NFPA 70 standards and importance of these standards in maintaining safety.

Alaska: Electrical Administrators are required to take 8 hrs of continuing education per category type every two years, based on the current state adopted codes. Electrical Journeyman are required to take 16 hours of continuing education every two years, of which at least eight hours must be based on the current codes and eight hours may be "industry related."
We offer two great “packages” for Alaska learners: The 16 hour AK Journeyman CE Package and the Eight Hour AK Administrator CE Package. Individual courses include: NFPA 70E, NEC 2008 Wiring & Protection, and NEC Code Update.

New Mexico: Journeyman Electrician Certificates of Competence Renewal Information:
In New Mexico, journeymen must complete at least sixteen (16) hours of continuing education every three-years. This requirement serves to ensure regular training on the National Electrical Code, a code that is updated every three years. Eight (8) hours of the required training is on code change instructions and eight (8) hours is on other industry-related instruction.

Texas: Texas State CE Requirements Important Information About Continuing Education Requirements for the Following Electrician License Types; Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Master Sign Electrician, Journeyman Sign Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Residential Electrician:
To renew the above electrician licenses, Title 8, Occupations Code, Chapter 1305, Section 168 requires the completion of 4 hours of TDLR-approved continuing education (CE) courses during the term of the current license. These courses must address the National Electric Code, as adopted under Section 1305.101, safety (NFPA 70E), and state law and rules that regulate the conduct of license holders under Chapter 1305 of the Texas Occupations code. Courses may be delivered in many different formats including the Internet and traditional classroom. Note: Apprentice Electricians, Electrical Contractors, and Electrical Sign Contractors are not required to have continuing education for their license renewals. Washington: All electricians must complete 24 hrs of Continuing Education with a minimum of 8 hrs on Code Changes. As of Jan. 1, 2005, 4 hrs of the Continuing Education must be on the currently adopted Revised Code of Washington and its related Administrative Code (WAC). Continuing Education Hours approved by the Washington Department of Commerce, Safety and Buildings Division.
WA Electrician CE Package: 24 Hours. Includes Washington Specific Laws, NEC Code Update, Industry related training to cover the full 24 hr Continuing Education requirement for Washington Electricians.
